Holt
Our top pickBest for: iPhone users who want doses, meals and side effects connected, and a report for their prescriber · Platforms: iPhone
Holt is built around the rhythm of a GLP-1 week. A Live Activity reminds you on shot day, the treatment screen shows an estimated medication-level chart with a countdown to your next dose, and Otto suggests the next spot in your injection rotation. Snap a meal and Holt estimates calories, protein, fiber, carbs and fat. Rate side effects by severity and see them against your dose days, then turn weeks of logs into a doctor-visit PDF.
Pros
- Doses, meals and side effects on one timeline, so shot-day patterns show up on their own
- Five-nutrient meal photo scan for checking you're eating enough on a quieter appetite
- Doctor-visit PDF covering 30 days, 90 days or your full history, with suggested questions
- Suggested next injection site, a Live Activity and widgets
- Available in 15 languages
Cons
- iPhone only for now
- Some features are part of the optional subscription

MeAgain
Best for: Android users and people who want an AI chat companion · Platforms: iPhone, Android
A GLP-1 tracker for shots and pills, with food logging by photo, barcode or search, a side-effect journal and progress photos. Its AI companion, Capy, can help in the app or over iMessage.
Pros
- On iPhone and Android
- AI companion and progress photos
Cons
- The App Store listing shows English only
- No report for appointments listed
- Some features require a subscription
Your appointment is on Thursday. Your prescriber will ask how the last dose step went, and you'll scroll back through weeks of entries trying to remember which day the nausea was worst and whether you were eating enough protein. The logs are all there. What's missing is a way to turn them into a clear answer.
A quick note: this page is written by the team behind Holt. MeAgain details come from its App Store page and website, checked on November 1, 2026.
Why do people look for a MeAgain alternative?
Usually it isn't that their tracker stopped working. It's that they want it to do a little more of the thinking. The most common reasons we hear come down to three things:
- Something to bring to the doctor. A summary of doses, side effects and weight you can hand over, not a screen to scroll.
- The app in their own language. MeAgain's App Store listing shows English only.
- Shot day without the guesswork. A reminder that's visible, and an answer to "where did I inject last time, and where next?"
Why people switch to Holt
Holt starts from your dose day and lines everything else up against it. That one design choice is what makes the rest work.
- A doctor-visit report. Holt turns 30 days, 90 days or your full history into a PDF, with suggested questions for your prescriber. We couldn't find an appointment report on MeAgain's listing.
- Side effects you can measure. Slide nausea, constipation, heartburn, food noise, appetite or fatigue to a severity, or add your own. They sit right beside your dose days, so "day two is always rough" becomes something you can show.
- Meals in one photo. Holt estimates calories, protein, fiber, carbs and fat from a picture of your plate. That makes it easy to check you're eating enough when appetite is quiet.
- Shot day, handled. A Live Activity puts "It's shot time" on your lock screen. The treatment screen shows an estimated medication-level chart and a countdown to your next dose, and Otto suggests the next spot in your injection rotation.
- Fifteen languages, with weight trends, water, daily goals, widgets and Apple Health sync built in.
What you keep, and what changes?
You keep the core of what a GLP-1 tracker does: shot and pill logging with reminders, injection sites, meal photos, a side-effect log, weight and Apple Health. Both apps also give you a view of medication levels between doses. Holt's is an estimated chart over 7 or 30 days.
What changes is how it fits together. In Holt, your side effects have a severity, your meals come with five nutrients, your next injection site is suggested, and everything rolls up into a report for your appointments, in your language if it's one of Holt's 15.
What you'd leave behind is MeAgain's AI companion, its progress photos and its Android app. Neither listing describes importing from the other app. Weigh-ins can come across through Apple Health, and most people simply start logging doses in Holt on their next shot day.
Stay with MeAgain if…
You're on Android, or you'd miss chatting with Capy, its AI companion, in the app or over iMessage. Those are real strengths, and Holt doesn't offer either. If neither applies, Holt is worth a dose cycle.
What we'd track in your first two weeks with Holt
- Every dose and site. Let Otto suggest the next spot and see whether the rotation sticks.
- A photo of most meals. Watch protein and fiber against your goals, especially on the two days after a shot.
- Side effects with a severity. Even a quick slide on the worst day gives the timeline something to show.
- Weight two or three mornings a week, so the trend has shape without becoming a daily verdict.
- One doctor-visit report before your next appointment. It's the clearest test of whether Holt is doing the thinking for you.
Whichever app you use, it records what you were prescribed and how you felt. Questions about the dose itself belong with your prescriber or pharmacist.
